For years the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been gradually correcting the secular reforms of the state founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. In Vakıflı, the last Armenian village in Turkey, there has been a special museum since early summer. It is carefully attempted to establish a culture of remembrance. At the same time, the people try to maintain their Armenian traditions and document them in the museum.

Hasankeyf, located in the Turkish border area with Iran, Iraq and Syria, is at least 12,000 years old and thus one of the oldest settlements of mankind. Turkey is building a gigantic dam here, the place will sink into the associated reservoir. And below the reservoir, the wetlands of the Tigris will dry up.
