Armenia, France and Turkey
End of December 2011, France passed a law stating that the denial be of the Armenian genocide should become punishable. This is a provocation to Turkey, where it is banned to this day to talk about the genocide of the Armenians at all. What is intended in France to be a solidarity with the Armenians, is seen by the Armenians as a threat: the Armenians living in Turkey fear more retaliation.
