Greenpeace Happening

With a reproduction of the Ark Noah on the mountain Ararat
Greenpeace demanded a fight against the climatic change.
The mountain Ararat lies deeply in the east of Turkey. The extinct
volcano is with more than 5100 meters the highest mountain of the
country. It is a mountain of the Bible - after the flood the ark
Noah has stranded here.
The weather changes noticeably. But at the Ararat nobody knows why.
About the climatic change one does speak here. That is to
change now. Greenpeace transports with horses twelve cubic meters
pine wood to the mountain - wood for the reproduction of the ark
Noah. Greenpeace wants to clear up over possible consequences of the
climatic change.
After a model the symbolic ark is built on the Ararat.
Ten meters long and four meters wide is the climatic life raft.
Carpenters from Germany, Russia and Turkey build to
it. They want to save like once Noah with its ark mankind, at least
sense-figurative. With the ark as a memorial of the climatic
change Greenpeace wants to set a signal before the G8-meeting in
Germany. The ark on the Ararat is an indication of hope. Finally
praised also God after the Sintflut: “The
earth stands, for seed and harvest, frost and heat, summer and winter,
day and night so long is not to stop.”
